The Embassy of Nepal in Denmark has decided to organize a Special Programme in January 2010 in Helsinki to honour Finnish nationals who have:
Programme summary: The Embassy of Nepal will honour selected personalities by offering special metal plaque, certificates and Khadas/Shawl organizing a special function. Venue, date and other programme details will be provided in December 2009.
The Embassy would, therefore, like to request to Finnish nationals who could meet the above-mentioned criteria to contact in the following addresses with adequate documents/proofs before 30 November 2009. Those who died while climbing the mountains, their spouse/family members are requested to contact.
The Embassy will have sole right to set criteria and select the persons as per above-mentioned criteria.

>Tourism Programme on May 17, 2009
The Embassy of Nepal Denmark organized a tourism programme at the Embassy premises on 18 May 2009. The main purpose of the programme was to promote Nepalese tourism by honoring Danish personalities among mountain climbers, frequent visitors, writers on Nepalese tourism. The embassy had published public notice in local news paper and web sites and collected information. According to set criteria and acquired information the Embassy had selected 43 persons for honour. H. E. Vijaykant Lal Karna, Ambassador of Nepal to Denmark distributed plaques, Khadas and letters of honor on the occasion. This is the first programme of this kind organized by the Embassies of Nepal abroad.
The Embassy was established in May 2007 and the programme was organized on the eve of second anniversary of the establishment of the Embassy.
While delivering the welcome speech the Ambassador said that the programme would not only help promote Nepalese tourism but also contribute to introduce each other and bridge relations among Danish and Nepali people. The Ambassador also highlighted on the Government's decision to launch a national tourism campaign "Nepal Tourism Year 2011".
While making the PowerPoint presentation Mr. Dornath Aryal, First Secretary of the Embassy informed that the Embassy of Nepal has decided to provide 30-day gratis visa to the honored personalizes. He also enlightened that the Embassy had adopted policy to issue visa within 15 minutes.
Mr. Lars Gundrsen, Honorary Public Relations Representative of Nepal Tourism had conducted the programme. Journalists, travel agents, tour operators, representatives of tourism sector, government officials, among others, were also invited in the programme. Nepali cocktail dinner and cultural programmes were also organized on the occasion.
